What does Cat Nanny do?

- Nothing beats knowing your cat is safe at home with a trusted and dedicated carer popping in to give them extra love, keep things clean and attend to whatever else your cat needs. Don't worry about transport or logistics before your trip away.
- I have your instructions on hand. If you forget something, just reach out to make a change.
- I can send as many or as few photo updates as you like of your cat's stay-cay.
One-on-one attention, bespoke, tailored care plans
I understand all cats are different. I work with you to make a tailored in-home care plan to help your cat keep their routine in their home environment. During my visit I do what your cat wants me to do, whether that is play, sit quietly and chat, or deliver food, freshen the litter and leave.

I specialise in high needs cats. If your cat is unwell, we can accomodate vet visits
and administer medicine.
Your fur baby's comfort is our top priority
I understand that cats need different things at different times.
I listen to your cat. I prioritise your cat's needs - providing extended visits if needed. It is important to me that the littler is sparkling clean so your fur baby feels comfortable.
A question I get asked often is: If I get you to leave the litter is it cheaper?
No.
I freshen the litter each visit. If there's an accident, I'll clean it up.
As this is in the cat's best interests, it is not something
I negotiate on.

I enjoy tip-toeing around the less social.
I love being ignored or glared at as well as cuddles and head-butts.
I respect aloofness and the need for space and quiet or hiding under the sofa.

Pricing
Base rate
The base rate for 1 cat, 1 x 30min visit - $45
Longer visits are provided on a pro rata basis,
depending on need and availability.
Additional cats:
Cat #2 - $10 per visit, Cat #3 - $8, Cat #4 - $6
Medicine
No fees apply for administration of basic medications.
Diabetic cats are cared for by negotiation.
Travel I’m located in Belconnen. Travel is charged at
$2.50 per km for travel per visit outside/from the following boundaries: Southern Cross Drive (North), Gungahlin Drive (East), William Hovell Drive (South); or
Kingsford Smith Drive (West)
Securing your booking
A 50 per cent deposit is required to secure your cat’s booking. Pay by PayID is preferred. I can accomodate other payments methods that suit you.
Cancellations
Deposits for cancellations less than a week before the
scheduled first visit generally cannot be refunded.
Christmas cancellations are not refundable
after 30 September unless the spot can be filled.
Surcharge per visit
Sunday surcharge $5
Public holiday surcharge per visit - $10*
*A Surcharge applies from 22 Dec to 4 Jan
and Good Friday to Easter Monday.
Christmas bookings made after 30 September will incur an additional surcharge of $10 per day.
What’s included
Included in all visits: clean bowls before meals, freshen water in bowls/water fountains and freshen and clean litter. I can bring your bins in and do security checks.
What is the set up visit for?
We do a set up visit free of charge -
This is to meet you and your cat so I can learn your cat's routine, preferences, behaviours and develop an agreed, tailored care plan to ensure your cat's wellbeing while you are away.
Initial setup visit - free
A huge thanks to Michelle who at very short notice and little instruction, took over the care of our three cats of various ages, our turtle, fish and various native birds that visit our garden.
A couple of our furry ones can be fussy at times but Michelle did a superb job in ensuring that all of our animals were so well cared for and relaxed when she visited. So much so, that when we arrived home, they didn’t appear to be in a rush to welcome us home at all! They were sleeping and had to be woken up, a true feline sign of a seamless transfer and high standard of care.
Thank you Michelle for your wonderful care of our menagerie. We will definitely use your services again and will recommend you to other people looking for the same high standards for their loved ones.
